Back to Paris

Off we went, back to Paris to do all the last minute stuff we wanted to see.

L’Arc de Triumph

(Napoleon had this built this for himself, so he could parade through it on a horse after a victory).  Nice observatory at the top.

My Favourite Bridge.  I think it’s called Pont Neuf and it’s where King Louis and Marie Antoinette got their heads chopped off.  According to the guide at the Eiffel Tower, Napoleon stole the gold horse statues from Venice, who had petitioned France for years to get them back.  France eventually did give the originals back to Venice after they made a replica of them for themselves.

There was a lovely outdoor restaurant below the bridge where we decided to take a break and have something to eat.  It was so nice.  Here’s a pic. of our dinner!
